The scoop: Two new businesses are moving into Lakeland Town Square. Build-outs are “officially underway” for The Back Nine Golf and Town Square Nutrition, Lakeland Town Square announced on Facebook Tuesday. Both are going into retail bays at 4846 Village Market Lane.
The Back Nine Golf (Suite 105): It’s an indoor golf simulator spot. According to the company’s Lakeland page:
- Private bays with Full Swing simulators that track ball speed, launch angle and your swing
- Courses like Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass and St. Andrews, plus games for kids
- 24/7 access, with leagues, tournaments and private events
- No membership needed to book a tee time. Early “Founder” memberships are on sale now.
Owner Jeff Herman opened the first Memphis-area Back Nine in Collierville earlier this year, at 3660 S. Houston Levee Road. He told The Daily Memphian the Lakeland location will open by December, and he’s scouting East Memphis for another one.
Town Square Nutrition (Suite 106): It’s a family-owned shop that will sell loaded teas, meal replacement shakes, acai bowls and vitamins, What Now Memphis reported in September. When it first announced the move, the shop wrote on Facebook: “Our family is excited to be a part of the community and we look forward to being able to meet you and serve you.” No opening date has been announced yet.
